Steve C. Mothersell, President and CEO
Steve Mothersell has been in the real estate and development industry since 1978. He began his career in the real estate brokerage industry and later added land development, homebuilding, syndication and management activities to the full range of services now provided by SCM Corporate Group. He holds a California Real Estate Brokerage license and is a licensed contractor. Mothersell is a member and a past director of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB); member and past president of the Building Industry of Central California (BIACC); and member, past director and previous legislative committee member of the California Building Industry Association (CBIA). Mothersell has held a General Building Contractor's License from the state of California since 1993.
Mark A. Trinta, Chief Financial Officer
Mark A. Trinta, CPA, serves as controller and assistant corporate secretary. Trinta has been with SCM Corporate Group since 1986, overseeing all financial aspects and operations for the corporation. Prior to joining SCM, he was a partner in the accounting firm of Pimentel, Stockman, and Trinta. He has more than a decade of public accounting experience and holds a master's degree in taxation from Golden State University. Trinta is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Public Accountants.
Gale Townley, Project Manager and Assistant Vice President of Construction
Gale Townley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to SCM Construction Management Services. He has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus in the past 20 years specifically on multi-family residential construction. He started in the business in 1968, performing summer jobs in the Midwest for various masonry, cement, and paving contractors. After college, he relocated to Colorado where he gained valuable experience performing framing layout and finish carpentry work on custom homes. In 1982 he moved to California, where he elevated quickly to positions as Project Manager with nationally recognized companies and managed the construction of numerous apartment complexes and podium projects throughout the Bay Area. Prior to joining SCM Construction Management Services, Townley created and lead a project quality assurance group for Pulte Homes where his group reviewed 16 projects and 1700 units over the course of two years. Townley’s strengths also include internal plan checks, value engineering and coordination of design, as well as integrating and verifying acoustic, fire and water intrusion assemblies.
Ted Ridenour, Vice President of Construction
Ted Ridenour entered the Carpenter's Union in 1963 at the age of 17 as a second-year apprentice in Local 1599, Redding, Calif. He attained his Journeyman Carpenter status in June 1965 and served in the United States Marine Corps for two years. Ridenour has held a Construction Management position throughout the past 39 years, and has been directly involved in the construction of numerous California state government construction projects, including bridges, large concrete culverts, public wells, and railroad crossings and under crossings. He has worked for several notable employers including the Sares Regis Group from 1995 to 1998, Catellus Residential from 1998 to 2000 and Sundt Construction in 2000-2001. His experience also includes the management of over 6,000 single family, multi-family and commercial units in Modesto, Sacramento, and throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
